Beijingis a metropolis having a number of visitors all year round. Beijing Xiangshan Park(FragrantHillsPark) is a popular destination for tourists in autumn. The park, located in the northwest and 20km away from downtown, is a big and famous forest park characterized in imperial garden. Cultural relics and historical sites in Xiangshan Park are abundant and valuable as well as pavilions and towers adorn the mountains. The whole park covers 395 acres and consists of a natural pine-cypress forest including maple trees, cotinus coggygria and persimmon trees. As for many tourists, Xinagshan Parkis a well-known attraction which has a great reputation for its red colored leaves covering among the mountains in autumn. The best time for viisting maple leaves in Xiangshan is in later fall. If you just need one day out of the heavy traffic and busy work atmosphere in downtown, you could take your camera and get on the bus directly to the foot of the Xiangshan.
