1. Tibet Travel Permit and Visa:
As for those who are preparing for theirTibettravel, it is of supreme importance not to neglect the Tibet travel permit and visa for it is the most important warrant to get access to Tibet. Foreigners who want to travel toTibetneed to apply for two documents before they set off. One is Chinese Visa, which can be applied for in Chinese Embassy in one’s own country. The other one is Alien’s Travel Permit that authorized by Tibet Tourism Bureau.
Once you book Tibet tour with us, we will get the Tibet travel permit for you. But you need to provide your names, passport numbers, etc. The information is needed when we apply for the permit.
1. Your names as shown on your passports (to book hotel rooms)
2. The passport numbers (to book flights)
3. Your gender (needed when applying for Tibet Travel Permit)
4. Your occupation (needed when applying for Tibet Travel Permit)
5. Copies of your passports and Chinese visas (needed when applying for Tibet Travel Permit)
You can scan your passports and Chinese visas and email the scanned copies to me or you can fax the copies to 0086-571 8527 9099. Then we will obtain Tibet Travel Permit for you two. The cost is included in the all our Tibet tours.
2. High Altitude Sickness
Since Tibet is in the high altitude area of China where the oxygen content in air is under 70 percent and makes people hard to breath, it is very important for you to be pre-prepared and well informed before entering intoTibetarea. Generally speaking, travelers will feel dizzy and dopey when arriving in Tibet at the very beginning. So in order to ease the high altitude sickness and better adjust yourself to the high altitude climate, you are kindly suggested to have a body examination before setting off. People who suffer from high blood or severe heart disease are not suggested to travel to Tibet for the sake of your own health. Take in some medicines that can improve your oxygen supply ability before enteringTibet, like rhodiola and ginseng. When inTibet, keep on taking in cordyceps and rhodiola that can relieve fatigue and enhance immunity. Avoid catching cold and being too tired with your traveling. It is not rational to do any high oxygen consuming activities on your first arrival inTibet. Insert oxygen for 30 to 60 minutes per time if you feel strong headache.
